City Center was able to start up fresh and from the ground up, yet the end result was a bit underwhelming if not disappointing. The classic Tropicana Las Vegas Strip is being remodeled with the original casino and hotel towers still standing yet looks to become more interesting than the most expensive privately funded City Center. Let's take a brief look at what the future will hold for the Tropicana Las Vegas.

The first thing to note is that the rundown Garden Tower has been closed while the rest of the rooms have been remodeled. The newly renovated rooms look pretty good and better than what they were like previously. Guest rooms have a warm feel, a nice size and feature large screen tvs. Those looking for a large space, the 2 floor suites are pretty nice. A bedroom and master bath are on a second floor, giving plenty of space on the 1st floor of the room for some partying.

The Tropicana is going for a clean look as well as maintaining their new South Beach theme. This is help achieved with nice white chairs that are at the table games as well as in the Celebration Lounge. The casino is still not the best but everyone will have their own preferences.

When talking about what's coming soon for Tropicana you have to immediately bring up the Club Nikki brand. Put simply, the focus of the next renovations will be around the Nikki Cafe and Club Nikki. When the Tropicana pools close for the season, construction will begin on the pool area to convert it to the Nikki brand. Areas around the pool are already blocked off to get things started on the new areas. This is where the Tropicana is going to really come together. While I've never been to any Club Nikkis in other locations, the images of the other Club Nikkis look impressive and like a fun setting.

Another new addition to the Tropicana is going to be The Mob Experience. It's going to be a lot different than the Mob Museum that Mayor Goodman is hyping and will be more entertainment than a simple museum. You will be given a mob name and work your way through various rooms like a choose your own adventure story. There will also be original artifacts from various mob figures and even hologram images. This is looking to be something special as it's not just a normal museum and will immerse guests into an actual 'Mob Experience.'

Some people might be hesitant about the fact that the Tropicana Las Vegas isn't being imploded to start fresh and is just being remodeled/renovated. What you must realize is that this is more than just a standard remodel and renovation. When everything is finished, the Tropicana is going to be quite a bit different than the Tropicana of old that was showing its age. This is something to be excited about.
